Another Beautiful Breastfeeding Story

Heartfelt thanks to the wonderful Mom who shared this:

I have an amazing three month old breastfed baba he is so content and happy I going to try and get to 12 months I absolutely cherish every minute of my breastfeeding time with him Ive never counted how many times a day he feeds I've just got lost in it with him it feels so natural and peaceful. I suffered severe post natal depression with my first boy now nearly three and he was bottle fed I honestly think that if I had breastfed him it wouldn't have been as bad!!!! I just look at my little mans chubby face and feel so proud that he is so big and healthy all through me and nothing else.

Beautiful Breastfeeding Story

Breastfeeding Moms are so wonderful! This is a lovely breastfeeding story. It was left as a comment by a BF Mom who joined our circle of Happy Breastfed Babies.

I have two boys 9 and 18 months. I breastfed them both.

I wish there had been a site like this one with so much positive support when I was nursing my oldest. I was a single mom, and I had no support. I ended up giving in and bottle feeding because it was easier.

Now, after becoming a mom again, and having the ability to breastfeed again, I see now where I missed out on a great bonding experience with my first. I think it is so important to have that positive encouragement.

With my youngest, I was able to breastfeed him up to 13 months when he weaned himself. It was not the awful experience I had encountered before. I enjoyed the closeness that I was able to have with my son, and the support that I received from my husband, my family and friends. I was sad when he weaned, but I was happy I was able to breastfeed.

Thank you for helping bring to light that breastfeeding is a natural gift that we as mothers have. God Bless!

Our Circle is Growing

Thank you to all the wonderful Moms who have added their babies and children to our Circle of Happy Breastfed Babies!

We now have 28 little ones from five countries in our Circle.

What a wonderful show of support for Happy Breastfed Babies. I could not be any more grateful or any more excited to have this amazing response from such loving women from around the globe. Australia, Canada, New Zealand, UK, and the United States - all have added Happy Breastfed Babies to our circle.

If this is your first visit, please join our circle - just add a comment at the end of this earlier post with the first names of your breastfed children (current or formerly) and - if you like - how long you breastfed them and your hometown.

For the Moms in our circle, please ask your friends - Twitter and other - to join our circle.

The larger we grow, the more children we celebrate, the more likely we are to help along more Moms to decide to raise Happy Breastfed Babies!

About Happy Breastfed Babies

I love to celebrate the joy of Happy Breastfed Babies! This blog is for doing just that - celebrating!

Sometimes I get a little sad because breastfeeding so many times seems to be in terms of the Mother and what works best for her, and what choices she is entitled to make, and who is or isn't supposed to comment on or care about her choices.

And when I meet new Moms and they tell me that they breastfeed at home, but bottlefeed in public because it is easier, well, that makes me really sad.

I just want to the focus to be on the babies - the tiny wonderful gifts that have only been on earth for a few minutes, hours, days, weeks - and what they love and need. And that is to be breastfed. And they need that as they grow as well!

My wish is for all babies to be Happy Breastfed Babies. And rather than just wishing which is magical but not practical, I wanted to do something about it. Something positive and beautiful, just like babies.

And so our Circle of Happy Breastfed Babies was created. I invite you to join and watch it grow to a million babies because with all the loving Moms in the world and a little bit of magic, I know we can see my wish come true.
